I actually prefer the technology. It has made things quicker. the first year i went to uni (94) it took 6 hours to enrol! however that was at adelaide uni with its 10-12.5 thousand students all enrolling within a week and some points where everyone had to go through, like guild membership which was (and still is) compulsory. And i'd arrived at about 9:15 am cos i knew that if you were late you took forever to enrol. the next year i got there at 8:45, before anything started to move through and managed to cut it down to only 2 1/2-3 hours. still shocking since i was there before it started. when i came to murdoch in '98 the enrolment was alot nicer, but still took quite a while. about 1-1 1/2 hours. last year, with the change to online it only took me about 30-45 mins to enrol, which is good considering it was on a relatively untested and new system. this year it took me under 15 minutes to re-enrol.
Now i just have to change my actual degree to what i want to graduate with at the end of this year and things will all be fine
