Greenie, Birdo, Foodie, and Karaoke nut

Dinner last night was good once Stuart finally got off the phone with our treasurer and was able to join us. We dined on a deck overlooking the mangroves and got glimpses of barking owl, flying foxes and two pelicans flying over!

I had the duck. I don't just like watching my birds. ;)

Then came the cake. Now, Alice and Stu tried their hardest to keep me away so they could do this all in secret but unfortunately I was around and figured it out but that was okay, it was still lovely. Apparently the night before - when I was really awake and didn't leave the shadehouse until about 9:30 - they were desperately trying to get rid of me so they could make the cake! I had no idea. Alice decorated it with mini M&Ms - in the shape of a rainbow bee-eater. It was brilliant. And the card - a cat, with a pair of binoculars. And inside Stuart had drawn caricatures of everyone with canes or walking frames or scooters. It was hillarious.

I was eyeing off a pearl shell bracelet in Willie Creek Pearls yesterday but phone calls distracted me. Later however I spent the $20 on yet another DVD. How could I resist BOTH Ghostbusters movies for $20. I've discovered I'm really interested in director's commentaries - it's fascinating to see just how a movie is made.

It is that time of year again. Yep the time when we all celebrate the anniversaries of our 21st birthdays (well apart from mouse who is turning the grand old age of 2)

This year the party is for
Matt the Rat -9th july (yes he wasn’t allowed to get older till now)

So the stats
What- The 4th annual oktoberfest birthday partay
Why- Cause we are getting older again
Where- The halfbake house (kitty and sairs place) - reply to this if you need the address
When- 5th November, 7.30ish onwards
Theme- Saints and sinners (come as your favorite good girl or bad girl, or boy if you are that way inclined)
Bring- your own drinks. Significant others as long as you are responsible for them etc

We will no doubt provide things of the munchie variety and softies. There is limited crashing space for people. Please bring bedding as what we have is limited
