I agree, i remember trying to enrol last year online and it kept on crashing everytime you clicked on a link and i had to go back and do everything twice because all all the crashing. I miss just doing everything with pen and paper and in person, so much for technology :P
I actually prefer the technology. It has made things quicker. the first year i went to uni (94) it took 6 hours to enrol! however that was at adelaide uni with its 10-12.5 thousand students all enrolling within a week and some points where everyone had to go through, like guild membership which was (and still is) compulsory. And i'd arrived at about 9:15 am cos i knew that if you were late you took forever to enrol. the next year i got there at 8:45, before anything started to move through and managed to cut it down to only 2 1/2-3 hours. still shocking since i was there before it started. when i came to murdoch in '98 the enrolment was alot nicer, but still took quite a while. about 1-1 1/2 hours. last year, with the change to online it only took me about 30-45 mins to enrol, which is good considering it was on a relatively untested and new system. this year it took me under 15 minutes to re-enrol.
Now i just have to change my actual degree to what i want to graduate with at the end of this year and things will all be fine
It wouldn't let me enrol in one of my units because of invalid code or something, so I had to do it manually... I prefer the online way though, you get to change your mind without traipsing up there to change enrolments!
