Death and taxes

Right-o. I have been told that I certainly shouldn't be losing almost a 3rd of my pay to tax.
I also want to change my tax-free threshold thingy from Centerlink to my job, seeing as Centerlink aren't going to be giving me money anymore.
Now I'd ring the tax office and ask but lo and behold, like any good government department they are only open during buisiness hours. I work during buisness hours and cannot make calls in that time, especially calls to government departments that will require me to be on hold for half an hour or so (that's my entire lunch break there).
It would seem I can't contact them by e-mail either.
So, anyone out there with any tax savvy know what I need to do?

If you ever need to go back on Centrelink, you'll need to fill in new forms anyway, so you'll just nominate on there what you want from them (ie TFT yes or no) at that point in time.
