The egret, the heron, and the snavelrat

The people up here become like a kind of family. Pat just dropped in one day and on suggestion of staying the night said he was thinking about it. 3 weeks later he's still here and helping out a lot. Don and Cynthia also just intended to stay a few nights and have been almost 2 weeks now. Don recently recieved an astronomy telescope and we're now having astronomy nights which are awesome. He's also been pottering around trying to figure out why the generator kicks on so easily. Jo from Mornington arrived today and we're chatting with her like a sister. Anyone you can sit and chat to for more than 5 minutes becomes a family member.

I'm hopefully going to have my tickets booked soon, but have more expenses trying to stop me from being able to afford anything! I now have tyres that HAVE to be replaced due to large holes in one of them, and others being 'thin'.

Hey, I am new to LJ and trying to make some friends. Enjoyed reading your journal, and we have a few interests in common: I LUUURRVEE ANIMALS (plan on going back to uni to study veterinary science), and I also grew up in Broome (12 yrs - the rest of my family still lives there), now live in Perth.
