I have this throbbing headache in my left temple, it seems to get worse when I move my head/tense up/grind my teeth a bit. *ugh*

Just took two Tylenol, I usually try to avoid medication but this is nasty so it better work.

Gotta go to library and find books/references. Hopefully I manage to find my way around and the book I need is not out. The library is scary, I much prefer the net.

Group meeting about dinosaur presentation. I actually have quite a bit of stuff to talk about now. Hepatic pistons and gastralia and stuff, I just wanna know if there is a correlation between breathing strategies and whether the dinosaur is saurischian or ornithischian, because it seems to be linked to the pelvic shape.

Yeah yeah, I know that made no sense to anyone else.

Lab, rat oestrus, we hafta take vaginal smears from rats and inject them with hormones!! Hrm, not sure about that. It will be a learning experience I guess, but I'm not sure if I like the idea of molesting rats.

apparently the dinosaur breathing is to do with the hip bones not being fused (as in mammals) so it can rock and other stuff can move.

As for flying. Birds have a keel on their breastbone to anchor muscles and coracoid bones - extra bracing across the shoulders. Without those bones the chest cavity would pretty much collapse when the powerful flight muscles are used :)

So now ya know.
