Friday night pondering before bed.
Nov. 6th, 2004 12:19 amMmm, just showered. I smell nice again.
Anyone know how to get cigarrette smoke smell out of leather? My beloved leather jacket reeks of smoke and is gradually stinking out my whole wardrobe. Something I rather resent seeing as I don't smoke myself.
In my perfect world my friends (and everyone) wouldn't have to be addicted to something that saps their money, ruins their health AND ruins the health of those around them.
Was just pondering. Many smokers say cigarettes help them relax. I don't need cigarettes to relax. I reckon inhaling cancer causing substances would stress me out MORE!

Date: 2004-11-05 04:37 pm (UTC)Somehow cigarettes manage to serve two very different purposes for me. When I'm anxious and frustrated and all-around miserable, they help me feel more calm and grounded; I think they also give me a bit of a lift because they're slightly naughty. When I'm drinking, they counteract the depressive effects of the alcohol and make me more 'up' and perky. When I partied more often, I worked off the credo: "Drink 'til you're drunk, and smoke 'til you're jittery. Repeat."
This has been another example of why smoking is bad ^_^
