All Saints just ended, my God my heart just stopped when I realised they were actually gonna put the dog down. If I was Charlotte I think I woulda punched the vet then run off with the dogs and hightailed it outta there.

Humans are ignorant, stupid, fucked up animals.

We just kill every animal that does any thing against us. Animals always do stuff for a reason. Dogs defend their territories, or lash out in fear or pain, or protect themselves or their pups. Humans on the other hand just hurt others out of rage and lack of self-control. Why don't we kill every human who hits someone else???

Fuck, I HATE those stupid pathetic laws that just allow us to kill other creatures indiscriminately.

Gah, I can't put what I'm feeling into words, my blood is boiling.

What is All Saints? Wha happened to a dog?
Humans are inwardly selfish, and so prize ourselves above any other life generally. We do have laws now, yes, and the only reason we have those laws is because people who cared enough about the suffering of animals fought for them. Fought HARD for them. Same with women's rights, and the rights of every "minority" group. That's why it's so important that people don't stop caring about others, especially since animals can't speak up and fight for themselves.

All Saints is an Australian medical drama. Only serial that I watch on a regular basis. In this episode one of the main characters discovered he had a malignant brain tumour, causing his erratic behaviour (which of consequence was much worse than the dogs, but they didn't just go put him down...)

At the start of episode you see one of the doctors in a rush, kids outside are stirring up her dog. She yells at the kids and calls the dog out the back before rushing to work. Later at work she finds next door neighbours kid, mauled... by her dog. Her heart breaks, she finds that the daughter will recover well. Other nurse insists on notifying RSPCA or police. Of course she knows they will just kill the dog, she would rather work it out with her neighbour who she is friends with. Of course neighbour is unreasonable and hostile at first. Turns out little shit kids broke the fence, little girl got into yard, dog defended property.

Towards the end you feel that doctor and neigbour have resolved the issue between themselves. Last scene is doctor playing with her dog and you get this warm feeling that common sense has prevailed and the beloved dog will live, kids will get a hiding, it will be made sure that dog is properly confined before doctor leaves. Then the camera pans to vet filling needle with green fluid. My heart sinks, I go numb, I start swearing my head off internally and wanting to punch something, blood boils.

yeah that's about it. "You were protecting what's important to you, doing something instinctual. Ah well I guess that means you deserve killing." *cries*

It was disgusting and disturbing.

The only way I'd be alright with that ending is if the point of it was to illustrate how biased and unfair society was.
That is my one fear about owning another dog. If they bit someone, what the consequences would be?

my b/f's sister had a Jack Russel. It was a Jack Russell, it was nuts, it became slightly more nuts after humans (who weren't killed) broke in one night. It was at a friends house being babysat and bit someone. He was probably overexcited or nervous, truth be told the dog wasn't well trained, it was rather destructive at home, but still not exactly dangerous (it's a Jack Russel people!), but still a beloved pet. She had to get it killed (sorry I keep saying killed, I reserve "put down" or "put to sleep" for animals being put out of their pain, not receieving the ultimate punishment for something that is instinctual) on her birthday of all days. And they say the DOG is dangerous... *shakes head for pathetic "justice" system*.

even with the warning it didn't make the episode any less painful to watch. Human's suck sometimes.
Charlotte getting that little girl a dog soft toy was a really good idea tho, I think that showed something.

ah.

It _should_ have had an official warning, I mean they warn about drug use and stuff. That would have been distressing for many animal lovers. Me, I just went completely numb.

I honestly thought she was going to hit Nelson (after it looked like he was trying to hug her)
