BJ gets all artsy

I finally bought me some coloured pencils. Derwents were a bit out of my price range so I got Crayola, which are decent quality and not too expensive.

Now, even tho my mind is full of ideas alas I cannot draw. :( I can however make patterns. So I drew and coloured this.



I chose a colour and started colouring a shape at random. If I'd realised I was on the big shape when I chose red I would have done it a different colour, but oh well. And the blue and purple down the bottom are too close in shade and all the pencil strokes show up.

Still, it looks neat, I think I might stick it on my file, or make wallpaper out of it or something.

Any art critics??

I have a set of Derwent's, but I like my Prismacolors better (which can be like $100 for the whole set, ouch). But I like the style of your picture. Just need to color it in darker so that the lines really pop out, find a frame (you can always pick up cheap frames at garage sales/fleamarkets), and slap it on your wall and you have an original piece of art!
