I wish my eczma would just go away. Sometimes it seems chopping my hands off will be the only way to get rid of it...

I've tried pretty much every cortisone under the sun and various other supposed miracle cures.

Sometime they make it less severe (sometimes). But usually it just comes and goes in severity.

Mine is hereditary so I can't cure it *sigh*.

Mine is hereditary too and I think I am (or was) in the same boat you are. I have a whole cupboard full of steroid creams and ointments and pills but those seem to work for me. I also have it most severely on my hands and I'm told not to use strong chemicalled soaps. I use either Cetaphil or Dove. Also if yours is allergy related like mine is, I have an air filter in my room also. I take Atarax at night to help with my unconscious scratching. Other than that, bathe often. I've really gotten mine under control lately. I hope I can help!
