I wish my eczma would just go away. Sometimes it seems chopping my hands off will be the only way to get rid of it...

Aww :/ I used to have that when i was younger and i went into some hot springs for a swim once (apparently) and then it all just dissapeared.
Although now i get dermatitis and i feel like chopping my fingers off is the only way to get rid of that. Skin problems have to be the most unattractive problem to have :/

itchy skin is no fun...

I have to be the window/door nazi around here, because I get constantly bitten by mosquitos. My Mum's the same--we must smell attractive to them or something. Of course, Luke does *not* understand, becuse they don't bite him. Or if they do, it's only once, not twenty times in really annoying places (like knuckles, toes, or right in the cleavage where it leaves an ugly red mark that hangs around days)

And at work, I get itchy hands from handling food, so I have to wear gloves. But the gloves make everything so much harder... (can't pull the cheese apart without breaking it, for a start)

Aww!

I have eczema too! I have good treatment for it though! Ask a dermatologist about Diprolene and/or Dermatop! They work well for me and I've been a bad case since I was 2 weeks old! (Gawd! Do I sound like a commercial or what?!)

I've tried pretty much every cortisone under the sun and various other supposed miracle cures.

Sometime they make it less severe (sometimes). But usually it just comes and goes in severity.

Mine is hereditary so I can't cure it *sigh*.

Mine is hereditary too and I think I am (or was) in the same boat you are. I have a whole cupboard full of steroid creams and ointments and pills but those seem to work for me. I also have it most severely on my hands and I'm told not to use strong chemicalled soaps. I use either Cetaphil or Dove. Also if yours is allergy related like mine is, I have an air filter in my room also. I take Atarax at night to help with my unconscious scratching. Other than that, bathe often. I've really gotten mine under control lately. I hope I can help!

Skin hassles

I don't have eczma but I do have two types of hives. Both drive me nuts! I have a nail brush I use to help scratch but I often break the skin with my nails before I kinda force restrain myself not to scratch. Hot weather really brings it out.
