Remember when Cameron, Jordan and Riley were boys names? Heck, I was going to be called Cameron but wasn't because I turned out to be a girl. Seems now they could have called me that anyway.

I need to find out what the world population was in 1984/1991. In the first movies they mention that Skynet's first attack wipes out 3 billion people.

Nowdays, that leaves behind 3 billion people. It's only half the population (actually, now it's LESS than half). Doesn't sound as dire as it did in the early 90's.

I don't remember any of those names being exclusively boy's names. Infact I knew a female Riley, older than us, and a couple of female Camerons as well.

3 billion is still dire. Wiping out half the population... but likely nowadays for that kind of attack to result in more deaths, it is true. According to This the world pop in 1985 was 4.766 billion.

My parents named my brother Jordan because they thought it was a strong, masculine name...but the day he was born a woman down the hall had a girl and named it Jordan too. And a while back I met a girl named Wiley. I've never thought of Wiley as a girls name.
