Saw Terminator Salvation last night.

Was pleasantly surprised. Lots of nice little loops and shout-outs to previous movies.

Best scene in the whole damn movie involved John, motorbikes and You Could Be Mine blaring on a stereo. That made me squee.

I now must watch the first two movies (like tonight), and, God forbid, possibly the third - but I need a copy of it first. Also, good opportunity to ogle Michael Beihn and Edward Furlong, hrm, ogling Eddie Furlong was okay when I was 12, now I'm 29, does that make it wrong now?

I must also scribble timelines and loops on a piece of paper and relive my brain breaking when I was a tender 13 years of age and saw the second movie and the first soon after.

I am pretty sure in the first movie Kyle mentions a robot that had rubber skin to make it look human, but of course for real humans they were easy to tell. Seeing as the T-600's are still all metal (and why the heck would a killing machine wear a bandana? One of the stupider moments in the movie), would this model be the T-700? I'll see if he mentions the specific model number when I watch T1 tonight.

I was really hoping for a scene right at the end where John hands Kyle the photo of Sarah. I was also thinking it would have been really awesome if maybe Kyle got sent back at the end of the movie and John died soon after - heck, he doesn't have to STAY alive in the future, just long enough to play his part. But that would require the time for Kyle to ponder over the photo of Sarah and fall in love with her.

I must also see Sarach Connor Chronicles now, just to see what they did with it.

When I saw Star Trek it was cool, but I couldn't be critical, having never watched the series. Terminator on the other hand was a teenage obsession (for the storyline as well as Eddie Furlong).

I don't think there was a teenage girl alive who didn't think Mr Eddie Furlong was it and a bit on toast. And there's nothing wrong with looking at him now and thinking the same thing, he was a very cute boy....god knows what happened have you seen what he looks like now?!

He's fat and ugly and smokes.

I know! Maybe he's grieving the loss of the cute factor, so sad. Is Arnie in this one?

Arnie is kind of in it. Another European bodybuilder appears with Arnie's 1984 face CGI'd on it. He actually didn't have anything to do with the movie (except perhaps signing papers allowing the use of his likeness).
