QUIZ NIGHTS
Roundhouse Tavern is running a free quiz night on Thursday nights starting at 7pm. Anyone want to help us make up a table so we can win shit for nothing? Matt and I are notorious for showing up the quiz nights and the table we're on coming first or second.
IS THIS A MEME?
It's a thread that came up on a birding forum I read. Answer whatever's applicable.
What was the first record you bought?
What was the first cassette you bought?
What was the first CD you bought?
What was the first MP3 you owned?
For me -
1. I think it was the This Is A Call single by the Foo Fighters. Maybe I should sell it, possibly worth a bit, being their first single and all and being on vinyl.
2. the cassingle of Opposites Attract by Paula Abdul and the compilation "Let's Do It".
3. First CD I owned was the Sleep When I'm Dead single by Bon Jovi because I won it. First CD I bought was 7800 Farenheit, also by Bon Jovi - I owned both of these before I actually owned a CD player.
4. Walking On The Sun by Smashmouth.

Date: 2009-01-19 01:54 pm (UTC)BTW, how's your job situation doing? I still don't have a placement, so I am looking for something else and spotted this. It's not in your field of course, but the pay's all right, and could be an in?

Date: 2009-01-20 10:36 am (UTC)That job looked okay at first, but looking in more detail I don't meet some of the essential selection criteria (it's actually a team leader job and you need extensive customer service experience). Ah well, there's still the museum job I need to finish the application for.

Date: 2009-01-22 07:23 am (UTC)You guys still going? I can come up on my own and get there a bit before 7 (I hope... I somehow manage to end up later than I aim for, most times) or I can just say see ya next week. ;)
