My boss is one of these people that doesn't realise that computers are only as good as the information you put into it. He feeds a computer bullshit and when it doesn't spit out the results he wants he assumes the computer doesn't work.

Sometimes he applies the same theories to secretaries.

I like to remind people that computers are stupid machines. It only knows two things: on and off. All these crazy things that we humans do on computers is distilled down to these two states: on & off. We humans don't process things that simply, so we refer to on as 1 and off as 0. Bingo, there you have binary, the basis for everything done on a computer.

He tells me he's after a certain type of file to use as a template. So I search for that sort of thing.

Sometime during this he happens to find what he's after on his computer. It's called something completely different. He tells me how the computer is stupid because it can never find it. Of course it can't, it's called something else you dimwit!
