Ok now that pisses me off a bit

So, today I spent a while (Matt reckons it was 20 minutes, I reckon it was a little shorter, but still way longer than I expected) looking at the stockings and things in Woolworths, because I want something to keep my legs warm so I can wear skirts and dresses now.

I eventually decide on two pairs. Both in XL/Xtra-tall whatever. Biggest size available.

I spend $20 on them.

Neither fit.

Being what they are I can't take them back. Anyone want 'em?

Now. I am always seeing on TV bigger girls, bigger than me, and they look gorgeous in what they're wearing and what they're wearing FITS.

Now, where the heck is this mysterious shop where I can find these clothes? Because at the moment it doesn't matter what size pants I try on, they won't fit. Either the won't get over my hips, or if they do they gape at the waist or fall down. I'm getting really pissed off and disheartened by this. I try to be content with my body and all that, but it's kinda hard when I find it impossible to find anything nice that fits properly.

My top half is fine. My boobs are magnificent and I can find tops and dresses that showcase them.

I think I'd just do better if I ended at the waist.

big w is the best for stockings/panty hose. I buy a new pair whenever i want some though because it is easier than going through my draw of stockings/hose to find one that doesnt have a run in it.

Stockings and pants, US.

The US grading and cuts (in plus size anyway, I'd assume its similar in their adult ladieswear) are more suitable for people with thighs, whereas apparently here in la la land, you can be really really fat, but have legs the same circumference as someone 8 sizes below, just 2 cms longer...

It's simlar with tops - the people who design the tops think we larger women have skinny arms and even on tops with 'looser' arms, it still is snug.
