I have an interview! I need to call back and make a time for an interview. Now to figure out an excuse to miss work at that time - what have other people done in this situation? I'm thinking of trying to get the interview early Monday morning and saying I had to take the cat to vet suddenly or something, but what if I can't get a morning? I'm a bad liar. If I get the job I'll tell the truth, but while things are up in the air I'm not so sure if I should let my current boss know that something's going on.

Ack, what to do? What to do?

The fact that he kept me behind half an hour today makes me feel not so bad about taking some mysterious time off at short notice. He's certainly grateful of me staying to help out, but really, I'd prefer to be paid overtime.

Just say "I have an appointment." Often I just say "I have a thing, bbs." Your boss may ask you why, but can't really pry, so just don't answer.

Just take the day off sick. If you haven't before i'm sure they won't think anything of it.

I wouldn't bother lying. Surely the boss isn't expecting you to be working for him forever, it's not a big deal.

But I've only been there two months.

And I know how much he needs me around. I just feel guilty. If I knew I would get it I would tell the truth right away, but while I don't know I'd rather not imply I'm that contemplating leaving.

Yeh but surely the dude hired you knowing you were overqualified, and guilt shouldn't come into it at all. He pays you for your time, you owe him no loyalty.

I tracked this from a journal the vampirepub apparently had. I recall your character Stormy very well as well as Asher I believe he was called...and you remember Lyonssa the Prince?
I played in the old dalnet VampirePub as well as other rooms Deb ( Lyon) made later for a time.
Do you still play and if you do where?
