I only ordered these on Sunday. The website says allow 6 - 10 days postage. Big surprise to get a delivery guy at the door this morning with these.






A set of 3 Shun knives. Carving, utility and paring. Cost me $299, which is a damn good price for these.



Aren't the blades just stunning? No two look exactly the same. These are folded using the same technique as Samuri swords. Nice and sharp. These guys are never seeing the bottom of the sink and they are not going anywhere near the dishwasher. They shall be wiped immediately after use and placed back in their cozy little red-lined box.

We have one Shun knife, but it doesn't have a fancy red-lined box. Gorgeous! I appreciate a nice knife.

I made spaghetti sauce this afternoon and was delighted with them. I kept looking at the cut surfaces of the veggies just amazed by how sheer the cut was. It's all slice and no squish. I even chopped an onion with little trouble, and that's a job I HATE doing (and usually pass on to the b/f when he is home).

The documentation says they're even dishwasher safe. But when you spend so much money on a utensil you want to treat it right.

My beloved Cutcos have been used and abused and I love them even more for it. They need a date with a knife sharpener - after 9 years of that kind of use/abuse.
