Despite a free consult and 20% off vaccinations, that vet visit still cost me $173.

But now both girls are vaccinated (or at least, the course has started, the rest will cost more). Bella is microchipped and Lil has her claws trimmed.

Now I must go to Big W or something and get some flea treatment, and a new collar for Bella.

To treat the precancers on Lil's nose will cost in the realm of $1000. Untreated it could turn to cancer and she may lose her nose, but she is already 14. Tough call. I'll have to think long and hard on this one.

And despite all the struggling and growling and crying, they are now back home, alive, unscathed and back to normal.

And Bella didn't even flinch for the microchip needle, she's such a tubby thing.

Nah, it's not their fault. The vaccines and microchips aren't free, and they have to do the jobs of 30 or so specialist human doctors, and their patients can't speak.
