Judge's Choice

I'm back this week. Last week I was having a birthday.
Hmmm... how do WE know what they're singing but the judges do not?
Tarisai
Can't Get Enough Of Your Love - Taylor Dayne (originally Barry White)
This is yelling, not singing. That really lacked musicality.
Marty
No Woman No Cry - Bob Marley & The Wailers
He's always on the same level. He needs to get louder somewhere or something. *yawn*
Ooh Dicko looks stern. And I agree with him.
Daniel
Fragile - Sting
Best so far. These guys need to project though, they're not exciting me. That was pretty though.
Carl
It's Not Unusual - Tom Jones
And Carl leaps forward from behind! He scared/worried me for a second there at the start, but yes! He's performing, he's entertaining! Carl is my new favourite!
Carl started out shaky but has gotten better and better. The others have remained on a plateau or even deteriorated, but Carl has stepped up. *grinning* That was the first worthy touchdown of the season.
Matt
Music Of The Night - Michael Crawford
Ben is soooo much cuter than Matt.
It's a tad too fast, and I don't like the rearrangment, but it's not too bad. He didn't destroy it, so I don't have to kill him. Would have been better if he wore a mask. :p
No Mark, that was not a fucking touchdown. God that was cheap.
Natalie
Nothing Compares 2 U - Prince
I'm impressed she's doing the Prince version! I like listening to Nat, she has a lovely voice. I'm starting to find her wardrobe disasters as an amusing quirk.
That is more worthy of a touchdown than bloody Matt.
Tarisai
I Believe In You And Me - Whitney Houston
Scary eyeshadow! The dress is terrifying too. But of course the song suits her to a T. She will sell albums no matter what happens. She looks kinda stunned.
Marty
Last Kiss - Pearl Jam (originally some bloke in the 60's)
That was nice. And I would have liked to hear more. Are they getting a shorter time this week because they have to do two songs each?
Mmmm Cadbury-tastic.
Daniel
From The Sea - Eskimo Joe
Those high bits just aren't working. Even before he screwed a note they just sounded thin and wrong. Interesting performance.
Carl
Jealous Guy - Donny Hathaway (originally John Lennon)
Very nice. Thank you Carl.
Matt
Transatlanticism - Death Cab For Cutie (Did I spell that right?)
That sounded pretty decent. Never heard the original.
Natalie
Umbrella - Rhianna
And we have another wardrobe disaster! I actually have only heard a bit of this song. I must listen to the right radio stations. ;) That sounded good though.
Eh, at least that's more worthy than Matt's performance was.

Date: 2007-10-21 02:29 pm (UTC)matt: i actually liked 'music of the night' and it is the first time i really liked him. his second song bit arse
tarisai: i dont get her wearing blue eyeshadow every week... and what was with the lip stick in the second song, she looked ike ronald mcdonald
marty: set him free already. fed up with his excuses
daniel: i am thinking he could round out the top three. he might be shaky this week though because he didnt step up high enough
natalie: when 'nothing compares to u' went number 1, i was over it. it was just annoyingly slow to hear at midday every saturday and sunday on video shits. in my old age i appreciate it more, though i didnt appreciate what she did to it. i dont think she was as deserved with her touchdown as the other two tonight, but her second song was far better. she made umbrella a good song because usually, that song sucks arse
