Getting back to basics
Aug. 22nd, 2007 08:45 pmI just made a slap-up homemade salad dressing - Now I doubt I'll be buying it in a bottle very often from now on.
That made me think of all the things I make myself these days.
Bread
Stock
Ice-cream
Soup
Biscuits/Cakes/Slices/Muffins
I recently bought an Easi-Yo, haven't used it yet but will as soon as I finish the tub in the fridge. It is made from a sachet which contains weird ingredients itself, but I intend to look into making truly from-scratch yoghurt.
In the future I intend to start making pasta from scratch. I also want to try and make paneer cheese for the next time I go Indian.

Doesn't make a bad lemon sorbet either. :)
I currently have in my freezer - chocolate, vanilla, mango, banana and lemon sorbet. I bought a big jar of cream, I had to use it all.
