Transformers is neat
Jul. 29th, 2007 07:59 pmYeah, I finally saw it last night. Now to see The Simpsons. I somehow think Transformers will remain cooler, because I watched the cartoon and played with the toys back in the 80's.
I am currently really looking forward to October 3rd - that's when my contract ends. Despite the fact that I probaly will be offered an extension and the money is nice, I won't take it. The job and Narrogin in general are making me miserable. I figrued it out - Broome was okay, because Broome was feral. Narrogin on the other hand is a hick town. Gah, can't stand redneck types and white trash. I'm moving back to the city. I'll find a job doing something there. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a bit of income for happiness - which is more valuable in the long run.
Also, Matt and Jakie finally got offered one of the many houses they had applied for. This one is at our major top end of the price bracket at a whopping $350 a week. BUT, for that you get this -
- House in Scarborough. A short walk up a hill and you can see the ocean. It's a 5 minute drive.
- Walking distance from Tony's Spaghetti Bar - that could be dangerous.
- Reverse cycle air-con.
- Plenty of bench space in the kitchen.
- Well lit kitchen! (Unlike the cave I have in Narrogin, where you're always working in your own shadow).
- Semi-ensuite. And a second toilet.
- A spa! The master bedroom has a sliding door between it and the spa. OMG.
- Huge built in robes.
And Matt is there. All good reasons for me to move up there and hope to hell I can find a decent job so I can afford my bit of the rent.
