gemfyreWe're watching a show about the harems of the Ottoman empire at the moment and in it one woman is watching a parrot in a cage.
The species of parrot? A bloody rainbow lorikeet. Did they even know Australia existed back then? I know rainbow loris spread quickly (as evidenced by the spread over the Swan Coastal Plain), but to Middle East?
