I am now tired but I spent soo long catching up on shit before I could write this.
It's Saturday night and I'm home, what's up with this?

The distance thing is getting to me again. I think there are three impossible ways to solve my situation as it is at the moment
- Teleporters
- Cloning oneself
- Making any decision I make not regrettable.
Bloody hell it all made more sense when I was thinking about in the car.

I always want to be doing two things at once. If I had a teleporter I just wouldn't have that annoying commute time, if I had a clone I could do two things at once, and if I didn't regret any decisions then I'd be happy with whatever I did, I would never have the "but I'm missing out on this" feeling.

Cricket season is in full swing. Gah, I can handle AFL, it's colourful and active and somewhat exciting. But cricket is white and boring. A footy game is over in a couple of hours but these darn cricketers stand around and throw the ball to each other for a WHOLE FREAKING DAY!! I just cannot get cricket. I thought it was just a case of one guy throws the ball towards the guy with the bat and he whacks the ball and tries to get as many runs as he can before the ball gets back to the wickets (is that the right name?) and touches them/knocks off the bales. The batsman is out when he misses the ball. In the end the team with the most runs wins. Seems it's a heap more complicated than that, and I just cannot understand it. Matt tells me the score and rabbits on about it and none of it makes a lick of sense to me. I know Australia kicks arse at cricket, and that's all I need to know thank you very much, just let me know who won, that's all that matters.

Our mouse died on Wednesday night. Very sad. And it was a really nice one too, one Microsoft decided to discontinue seeing it was so nice. The Intellimouse Explorer, the big grey one. Nice and ergonomic. Matt was using the computer and all of a sudden it's light went out and the pointer wouldn't move. After much mucking around with it and plugging it into different ports and discovering Microshit won't let you download the drivers anymore, we pronounced it dead. I'm hoping for the opportunity to smash the bloody thing now. I need to smash something mechanical/electrical, I need the catharsis. They so should have allocated spots where you can go and scream your head off and smash shit up. I think it would alleviate alot of the rage in society these days, because you've always got to show a brave face and be all... what's the word? Anyway, I digress. We now have a Logitech. I miss my back and forward browser buttons (not that the forward one on the MS mouse worked anyway, it broke early in the piece). It's also smaller and not as ergonomic, gah.

We went to a (badly disorganised) picnic in Kings Park this afternoon. It was nice. I was doing a bit of birdwatching, found a bird high in a tree that I couldn't ID. Could've been a shrike or a butcher bird. Gave a bit of sausage to a kookaburra and it proceeded to smoosh it to bits and feed bits to its 4 fledglings!! so cute. A magpie was grabbing the dregs and feeding it to his bub, I love bubby magpies! :) :)
There were also 4 or 5 pacific black ducklings on the pond. And these little shit with a super soaker squirting the ducks, I'd really like a shotgun... The new Western Power playground looks like the new orangutan exhibit at the zoo. The nice old tile mosaic pools are gone and it's all safteyfied, blah. It was fun watching kids fall off that log into the pond.

Karaoke was neat. I did FIVE songs!! I did "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" with Matt, we were first up. I did "Run To Paradise" with Kitty and I did my usual 99 Red Balloons and Let's Hear It For The Boy and also I'm Like A Bird which I hadn't done before. It was pretty cool, still too much smoke tho *cough* *hack*.

Well, this bit was meant to start "so now I'm home eating Taco Salad" but I finished it long ago. Too little tomato, too much onion. Admittedly the onion (salad onion, NOT brown onion) is an essential ingredient but it still burns my tongue and smells funny after too much.

Mum & Dad weren't expecting me home tonight. The garage was locked, the lights weren't on and dad's car hadn't been moved forward in the garage (to make room for my car). Ah well, what I want to know is why they were asleep at 9:30 on a Saturday nyte. Parked the car, turned on the lights and went back to the car and noticed this freaking huge orb weaver hanging above my car on half a web. Didn't even notice it when I drove it and woulda just cleaned the web right up with the car. Hopefully spider now knows it's a bad thing to build webs across driveways. Speaking of spiders, the wolf spider in the bathroom finally got evicted on Wednesday evening. I got sick of him doing laps on the ceiling when I was trying to take a shower, do you know how unnerving that is?? Put him outside on the lawn. Maybe he's now leading a happy life eating flies and mosquitos. Maybe he got eaten by a magpie. Either way he was back in nature where he belonged.

I bought my "yay I finished exams" present for myself (by the way, Ecology exam was a doozy, had a question asking to define words I had never ever heard before in my LIFE, but anyway, I hope I passed). I bought the Heroes pack. I now have Shadows of Death *cheers* and Heroes 4 *droolz*. I am now up for many online games and I shall smite your asses!!!

I am now on holidays, yeeeeeee!!! Do stuff with me, zoo!! beach!! shopping!! other fun stuff!!

Conads are dumb. They send me the round like 5 days after it's meant to be finished then ring up chasing up the round and I'm like "I'm almost done, but you keep sending it to me late in THE FIRST PLACE!" *bangs head on desk*

Went op-shopping today as well, kinda depressing. Didn't find any pants or skirts or shorts that fit me properly :( I badly need bottom halves. As a consequence I keep buying more and more top halves. Got a nice top today, denimn, strapless, goes real good with my fave skirt. :) Also found two ponies. Both doubles, Moonshadow and Baby Ribbs.

The RSI in my shoulder is hurting again, Heroes will not help with that. Shoulders are not meant to make crunchy sounds when you move the joint.

I hate these people that can sleep to 1 in the afternoon. If I sleep beyond 9am I feel like I've wasted half the day. Well I have, by the time I'm ready to do stuff it's afternoon. And I wasted all that time just sleeping. Sure I LOVE sleep but I also hate wasting the time I could spend being productive and/or having fun.

And dammit my wisdoms keep aching. I've seen X-rays, I know they're badly impacted and I know they're gonna hafta come out. But I can't afford a week of pain and blood and no solid food. But I also know that ignoring that they are there until the last minute will also be a bad thing. Dammit!! Who invented that third set of molars??

So as a conclusion to the essay that is my early weekend I'd like to say, I'm on holidays, it's summer, I have air-con and a spa and a fully stocked liquor cabinet. And it's not like I'm in Bunbury or something. Feel free to drop in on me, just gimme a buzz on ICQ or the phone beforehand so I can heat up the spa or whatever. ;)

Over and out *falls over*

Wow...I can see a kookaburra doing a swift snatch job, but I would have thought a pelican would be too big and bulky to do that kind of thing.

Actually, while on the subject of food and birds: Is there any truth in the rumour that you can make seagulls explode by feeding them sodium bicarbonate?

I always heard it was salt on chips...

I don't know. I really doubt it. I mean they live in the ocean, they have a high exposure to salt anyway. It's probably not the best thing for them but I doubt you'd get seagull mince from doing it. Snopes probably has a answer to it.

Nope, its Bicarb, and there is some truth to it. ou do however need quite alot of bicarb on the chip, and the seagull has to eat it all, and stay about for a bit. kinda funny. very cruel.
