Well, maybe all Mel Brooks movies ARE created equal. I much preferred Spaceballs myself.

thats a no brainer.... strickly ballroom was cute, romeo and juliet was a fantastic rework, but moulin roure was sheer brilliance. it was an entire experience, not just a movie.

MEWLIN' ROACH!!

That's what I called it. >_< ComewhatmaycomewhatmaycomewhatmaycomewhatmayBLARARRRGHHHGEATMYTOMMYGUN!!!RATATATATATATAKABLOOIE!

I know everyone else loved it, but boy, I hated it. I went expecting an original musical, and then when everything was rehashed songs other folk had made up long ago besides the one annoying tune which was the same notes over and over, I just... popped a vein. I didn't think any of it was ORIGINAL!

...

Mind you, now that I KNOW it wasn't supposed to be an ORIGINAL musical in terms of the music, but more of a ... take other good stuff, re-use it and then overlay other 'new' stuff.. which was... um... well, I'm sure there's new stuff in there, I'd just have to see it again to appreciate it.

:/

But. God.

I'm glad you folk liked it. Heh. It hit all the wrong buttons for me, probably because I was just expecting a COMPLETELY original masterpiece with all original stuff! :)

So I hit romeo and juliet. :/
