1. You practice songs in the car. And sometimes refuse to do them unless you're well in practice.
2. You have a signature song.
3. You've had at least 20 signature songs in your karaoke "career".
4. You don't understand people that say, "I'd have to be so drunk to get up there."
5. You worry when your voice starts getting raspy from yelling and breathing in smoke.
6. You've gotten the "Ole, ole ole ole" from the regulars.
7. You criticise your performances and others, and even ask for criticism from others.
8. You've sung Holy Grail and/or Throw Your Arms Around me.
9. Multiple times.
10. It really shits you when people get up and sound like they have never heard the song they are singing before (and it's a really popular song).
11. You prefer to sing obscurities over crowd pleasers.
12. If you miss a few weeks you find yourself itching to get back.
13. You are a "regular".
14. You've sung first song of the night.
15. You've sung last song of the night.
16. You've been given the above or even two songs in a row because the KJ needs to get the crowd going somehow.
17. You get all stroppy if you get less than 2 songs.
18. You have a reserved table at the bar.
19. You call up and reserve your songs early, because you might be late.
20. You ALWAYS get at least one song, no matter how late you are, because the KJ knows you.
21. You've been in a karaoke competetion.
22. You grew to love a song via karaoke, before you even heard it on the radio.
23. You're more used to karaoke versions than the original versions.
24. You think some karaoke versions are BETTER than the originals. (ala John's Thunderstruck)
25. You hear a song on the radio that's often performed at karaoke and go, "No, you're singing it wrong!"

And a question for Nurse Ryan. NSAIDS - do they actually help it heal up, or do they just take away the pain?

they will make the swelling go down hance giving the tissue a chance to heal by itself so if you are on NSAIDs you need to rest your limb till it heals properly hence why I recomended a sling. It will be easier to rest it in that than using accessory muscles to support it thereby putting less strain on muscles that aren't actually injured.

How abouuuuut... you get recognised by complete strangers in shopping centres who go, "hey you're THAT CHICK who sang THAT SONG at karaoke six months ago!"
