Ah, you're lucky. The single local pub that actually comes close to being a local pub around here -- with regulars who know each other, and everything -- is a blue haze of tobacco, and as much as I like their beer and their food, I can only be in there for a short time without symptoms.

You should come to Minnesota, smoking inside public places is pretty much illegal here :)

It will be here in 6 months too (might be a year, stupid step by step laws)
currently they're not allowed to smoke within 1 meter of the bar, which is totally stupid, but at least the hotelliers association didn't complain like they would have with it suddenly changing to no smoking inside. then i think start of july it goes to no smoking inside (at pubs and clubs) I believe it's already illegal at food serving places like restaurants and cafes, as well as in the area of a pub where food is served.
