Printer woes

Anyone know anything about the Canon BJ-10sx? Like, how to clean it?

It's my parent's old printer, and it works as far as I know. I just don't have the manual.

I have a feeling it needs a new ink cartridge (the cartridge was removed for transport, I've put it back but it doesn't print). I want to clean it first though to see if that works.

Let the print head soak in a shallow bowl of warm water... about 2-3mm deep, just so the very edge of the print head is submerged for a few minutes, shake it off and then give it a try, i used to have a similar printer and that always worked for me.
