I have a laptop with wireless. There is an unsecured network in the neighbourhood...

Hey, I'm just browsing, not like I'm gonna download movies or anything.

I think once I get a job that pays decent I will adopt an adult cat from the the RSPCA. I can see myself doing this many times. Adopting a cat in its autumn years, giving it a loving home until it dies, being sad, but adopting a new homeless kitty. That way I have a cat, and I'm helping with the problem of dumped mature animals, because most people want a kyoot w'il kitten and don't give a stuff about older cats.

Browsing isn't illegal...borrowing is :)

Yay for adopting older kitties - when I win lotto I'm so buying a huge house & making a homely cat shelter thing.

Yup - I have nursed 2 cats from post-kittenhood through to 17 & 19 and did, when last looking, stated a preference of 2 cats that needed to be rehomed together, a mimimum of 3-4 years and quite prepared for an older kitty.

er. I got 2 sisters :P They were 2 years old. Next time I may suggest older as in 6-7 ish as a mimimum - or just go look more! We have a shelter (Batersea Old Windsor) very near us.

Oh and your icon kitty looks somewhat like my kitty (Mango)

Tortishell kitties are the best.

The one in these icons is Phantom, my kitty. She lives at my parents though because even though she's a neutered female she carries on like an entire tom. My parent's place has been her territory for her 11 years and I think it should remain so for the rest of her life. I see her as often as possible. :) Mum's a little put out that I miss the cat more than her.

I'm thinking of giving up my cat due to the impracticality of keeping him. I was going to take him to cat haven but if you would like him, i can think of no one i'd like more to have him :)

Sometimes the old cats are the best.

Be careful with unsecured networks, I beleive "they" can also transfer stuff to your computer without tremendous difficulty....

actually whats funny is I heard a story about a customer who was having troubles with his modem, but he was connecting fine... he didn't realise he was connecting to a neighbours unsecured wireless....

My opinion is it serves people right, if they are too stupid to do something simple like setting a WEP key up, abuse it...

BTW, King street in the city is apparently great for free wireless...

Mmm, I agree with you on the topic of dumped mature animals, but... eheheh... I don't like cats. That would, for me, make adopting an older cat a little bit of a problem. :P An older dog would be fine :D
