There's a phrase I came up with in high school which always puts a damper on things.

"The anticipation is always better than the actual event"

My brain decided to pull this on me yesterday evening and I just suddenly felt all flat and "oh".

*kills her silly brain*

Dammit, it's ALL good. Stupid lump of myelin.

aww, if it wasn't for anticipation though, then lots of things would be boring.

it also isn't always true either :)
