The air is filled with the sound of doves chatting each other up ("Cooo, croo" *bow, fan tail*, repeat). There are baby honeyeaters everywhere and yesterday I even saw babblers busy making baby babblers.

And the waders are arriving by the bucketload.

GAH you made me snort >_< lol.

where are the honey eaters? I haven't seen any honey eaters around in ages! They're like so rare here :( guess it's all because the noisy miners and rainbow lorikeets take over. But the lorikeets have all moved on to other trees or something... the noisy miners are being busy too it seems. Dunno. I'm waiting for grapes to grow so Mowg can TEAR into them again and love them :)

Watching Massive Nature: Bats right now. Bleh, freaky eating them things >_<

I really hope I get a partner for Mowg of the opposite gender. I need some way to determine Noisy Miner gender, damn it :(

Tell me, when do we see ducklings? :D

Ducklings? You mean in Perth? Anytime now I'd guess. I saw loads last year at Herdsman and Monger and Bibra Lakes. It's the swans with cygnets that you gotta watch out for - nasty things.

Hurray! I keep missing them.

I know what you mean about the swans. One time I found a family and was feeding mummy to distract her from my attempts to pat the babies. I finally got my in and BOOM! In came daddy from the side. :D

Our budgies have been happy that it's spring , especially Jay who has chirping happily alot more recently , Lily not so much but she is rather quiet compared to Jay and she is really focused on Pinky and Brain.

I like spring as long as the pollen count is low and if we have allegy pills in the house (at the moment panadol will have to do :()

And I haven't heard noisy miner bird babies yet - I would know if there were babies out there, I'd be tracing them by chirps. Is Spring slower to come to Adelaide? I haven't heard ANY baby birds yet actually.. it's like mating season hasn't even begun in earnest here yet, like they're pairing up or something or I dunno what.

Today several large skeins of geese flew overhead all honking their way south. Maybe 20-30 birds in total in 4 arrows.

Yeah, I am in the UK and Autumn is comming.
