We've made over $2000 in profit in the shop/markets this month. Unreal. Why can't I make money like this for myself?
Yesterday a couple walked in and looked around and were smitten by the Jan van de Kam prints, which I had just put price stickers on that morning. Our original RRP was $19.95, but seeing as we pay no overheads and they just looked like photoshopped photos on heavy paper we decided $13.95 was more reasonable.
They bought 4 of those prints. They were going to get 3 but as I was looking for the right ones to give them they decided to get another design too. Excellent.
Then the woman was looking at the Jo McIntyre prints we have for sale. Ricki hates them and wants to get rid of them but we do sell them so they can stay until all the stock is gone. She had 2 of the prints and asked me if we have larger versions of any of them. The one she held up, which she thought was stunning was the "Rock Stop" painting. I was about to say "No sorry, we only have those prints" when I recalled, we'd recently taken down the framed original of Rock Stop from in the shop because it was taking up space. I told them, "Oh! We do have this." And bought out the print, quoting the price as $250 (I found out later it was meant to be $295). And they were like "We'll have it!! I love it!!" Sold! That was pretty awesome. $250 for us and we got rid of the painting. No complaints there.
