Apparently having a hot shower every second night is very selfish of me. I should be uncomfortable so grand high poohbah Ricki doesn't have to deal with the generator every second night.

I want to come home.

Like now.

EDIT : Actually, Ricki didn't even comment about the genny being on. Rhyllis did, then proceeded to harp on about selfish I was for wanting to be comfortable and not go batshit insane.

Er, no. cold showers are crudsticks.

The other two housemates here like to have two showers a day each, so i can sympathise with your no hot water situation. Are you allowed to boil a big pot of hot water & use that?

I sympathise with you honey. Hot showers are necessary for comfort and sanity at least occasionally. You're not selfish for wanting them.

(I steal hot water from the water purifier on my floor when I want one. It empties out the water purifier, but otherwise I'd go nuts.)

speaking as someone who regularly has two hot showers a day, I'd be freakingly pissed if someone complained at me merely having one every second day. I'd say, "here, smell my armpit of doom"
"Now, about those showers ..."
