...and fire in the sky

Last night I experienced the most awesome phenomenon. In the east the sky was ablaze with lightning while the stars twinkled overhead. Not just the odd flash but constant sheets and horizontal bolts lighting up the sky on that horizon. The eerie thing was that there was no thunder. The way that lightning was flashing there should have been a constant rumble but it was silent.

Fucking awesome, I just stood with my mouth hanging open for a while. So that's why I suffered an inordinate amount of bugs in the shower last night.

I got that all the time. Thunderstorms that stretch horizon to horizon, but are too far away to hear the thunder. Looks cool, especially with the moon just above the clouds.
