Just heard a familar twitter just outside so went out with squeaker and binos.

Female and male variegated fairywren - so close I didn't need the binos.

Neat.

I keep reading about all these interesting birds you see, and realized today how excited I got about seeing some pigeons in town. Yes, pigeons.

We used to see some really neat birds in town here, but now all there seems to be is crows, ducks flying overhead (which is really messed up, its the middle of winter and they should have gone south months ago) and now pigeons. I wonder what happened to them all:/
