Me and my first cat Cooking Fat. Circa mid 80's. I'm probably around 6 years old in this shot.













You can get an idea of her teenyness by the fact that she's standing in a set of kitchen scales and that's a 2L bottle of Coke.


Even then she was a deadly hunter.

Yes. Yes he was.

My dad was quite amused by some joke involving a drunk guy tripping over the cat and declaring "I'm gonna kill that cooking fat!" and he named the cat after it.

All my childhood I had no idea my beloved cat was named after a profanity and a rather crude joke.
