Damn post office!

gemfyreBeing closed on public holidays and there being so many darn public holidays in a row!
I have a card here for a package that was delivered on the 24th. Being in a gated complex our letterboxes are all out the front and the posties can hardly deliver packages direct to the doorstep so I have to go to the local post office to pick up the packages. Problem is they don't re-open until Wednesday and I'm busy all Wednesday (learning to drive a truck) and I won't be able to pick up the package until Thursday afternoon!
I'm not expecting anything so I'm dying to know what has arrived for me!

Date: 2004-12-28 02:08 am (UTC)I just got a call from work asking me to come in later cos they're being hammered. I bet you dollars to donuts (mmm, donuts!) that every second call is going to be "where's my bus? what do you mean sunday timetable? public holiday? but the shops are open!"
