What's happening on New Years?

I want dancing in the streets and fireworks and all that proper New Years stuff. I'm tired of sitting around with drunk people waiting for midnight to tick over.

not sure whether we're having a party or not, we have enough snacky food supplies to do so :P

they always do fireworks here somewhere from what i can tell and the whole dancing in the streets thing always gets really ugly here, think its coz people are stupid and get all mob happy or something. always works out fine on Christmas Island coz there's all of not many people there :)

Don't look at me. Every New Year's Eve for me that ends with a big blowout has, without fail, turned into an incredibly sucky year, so the Czarina and I are going to stay home and watch bad movies. I hate to be a downer, but there you have it.

I have work on New Years day, so anyone who wants to come to my party has to be up and out by 8.30 the next day, alas. Somehow that's not appealing to most people, wonder why :P

I'm going to a friends place for a standing&sitting-around-getting-drunk and chatting to a really amazing crowd type of party and then running down to the beach sometime near dawn to become shark bait! Whoohoo!
But before I get drunk I have to set up a computer :O
