Yesterday

5 minute warmup - 5kph walking on treadmill

Fitball squats - 2x15
Leg curl 5kg - 2x15
Chest press 10kg - 2x15
Seated row 10kg - 2x15
Tricep pull down 5kg - 2x15
Fitball crunches - 3x10
Alt. leg & arm lifts - 3x10
Prone bridge - Yesterday I did about 7 of these before realising exactly what was written on my sheet. They weren't held for very long.

5 minute cool down - 3kph on treadmill

Stretches - hold each for 30secs

Today

1 hour Pilates (nasty stuff for someone as inflexible as me, I don't think joints are meant to crunch like that)

5 minute warmup - 5kph walking on treadmill

Fitball squats - 2x15
Leg curl 5kg - 1x15
Leg curl 10kg - 1x15

Cardio - 20min (forgot this part yesterday) 6kph on treadmill. Varied the gradient up to 4.

Chest press 10kg - 2x15
Seated row 10kg - 2x15
Tricep pull down 10kg - 1x15 (I think this is a little heavy for me yet)
Tricep pull down 5kg - 1x15
Fitball crunches - 3x10
Alt. leg & arm lifts - 3x10
Prone bridge - 3 held for 10 seconds each

5 minute cool down - 3kph on treadmill

Stretches - hold each for 30secs

I know I burnt about 100 calories on the cardio section - I should find out how many calories are in a brownie. :)

Never done Pilates but have done similar workouts. They're agony to start with, but persist and they do get easier!!

I seem to remember that most of the energy burnt will be from an increased metabolism the next day, not from the work you actually do.

Today I am sore, coughing is bad, puts me in pain whenever I do it. Tomorrow I go do it all again and probably do a yoga class too.

How do you find the treadmill? I hated it when I was a gym-goer--my ankles were always sore. I could only do it on a flat incline too because my ankles just screamed NONONONONONO! anytime I tried to make it harder...

Cycling is fine for me though, so I do that instead.

Hee: my bike tells me how many calories I've supposedly burned cycling (honestly, how accurate can it be?) so I looked up calorie contents of things for comparison... a Mars Bar has 230, for example. Google it, see what you get. :)

I like the treads. Walking is one thing I can do and do well. :) Walking on a treadmill is a breeze compared to traipsing through bush.
