I'm sure something was trying to make sure I didn't get to uni this morning. Had two close encounters with stupid drivers on the freeway.
First was a BMW that tried to get into my boot all the way from the Narrows Bridge to just after Mt Henry Bridge. They had plenty of room to overtake me many times so I figured they just had some problem. I kept along at the speed limit, slowing to 80 at the 80 signs, I didn't drop right down to 60 at the roadworks because I find it unncessary but I did sometimes get down to 70 as a safe speed. Either way, I was following the road rules. I didn't brake suddenly, like some people do to tailgaters. I didn't particularly want to cause myself to get hit. At the 80 zone over Mt Henry Bridge I couldn't see half the damn bonnet they were so close. I'm quite amazed they didn't run me up the arse. A little after the bridge they overtook me. Go figure.
Not long after that at the series of mergers before South Street (I was still in the right lane at this stage), some stupid woman in a blue car almost drifts across the lanes right into me. Lucky my horn decided to work when I pushed it and she looked at me all shocked and surprised. Hello, road, cars, potential death, pay attention lady.
I survived, and so did my car. Amazingly.
