There are SEVEN torties at the RSPCA at the moment (eight if you include Mishka, who is technically more calico than tortie).  One (her name is Dusty) is really timid too.  Poor girl, I stayed with her for about ten minutes just patting her gently so she knew I wasn't going to hurt her.  Just something that simple worked with Smokey, who now seems a lot more used to people if still a little timid (maybe she just recognises the workers now?)  Seven beautiful tortishells rejected for some reason or another.  Two of them are cream torties, utterly stunning cats.  If I had the facilities I'd adopt the lot and Smokey.  Thing is, there is Smokey, the little grey and white cat I've been befriending, but now there's also a tortishell called... Smokey!  So I'd have two cats with the same name.

No sign of orange kitty with broken leg shirazz.

i would love to work at the cat haven but i know i would want to leave with them all...
it would only end in tears..... :(
