I think it had something to do with us never showing them the lease (even tho we did fill in those forms they have there).
We only got the lease about two weeks ago after about 6 months of waiting and it expires next week, so we'll have to go down again and give them the new agreement. *rolls eyes*
You might be all right there, though. We signed a 6 month lease about 3 years ago, which we showed to CL at the time. I've never signed a renewal (or even been asked to), and CL hasn't asked for one either. So maybe it's just assumed to cycle through?
