There are still places available for the pelagic trip from the Hillarys Boat Harbour on Sunday June 27th. The boat leaves from outside AQWA at 7am sharp and we aim to return about 3:30pm. The cost depends on the number of people ($75 if 23 people; $65 if 30 people).

This is your chance to see albatross and petrels up close.

I currently have less than 20 people, and at that number the trip will have to be cancelled.

I've already put my name down but I don't want it to be cancelled due to lack of interest. If you want to come along reply here and I'll give you Frank O'Connor's contact details (he's organising the trip).

Pelagics are the best. Dress warmly, eat a lot for breakfast, get a lot of sleep the night before, and eat dramamine.

Haha.
One thing I LOVE about my body is that I don't get motion sickness.

Ditto.

It's rather bizarre, since I've only been out on the ocean maybe three or four times in my life, but last time I went out, everyone else was busy chumming the water with their breakfast, but I had a blast.

Must be all those video games I play. :P

I don't really get sea sick either, though when I know its going to be rough I always eat some dramamine anyway. Nothing worse than being too busy puking your guts up to see that rare, rare bird fly by. I've been on some really, really rough trips where I've been very glad that I did eat the dramamine.

Maybe we should start a Pelagic Mammal list, too. That'd be fun.
