Sometimes I love my Mum
May. 27th, 2004 10:04 pmNot living at home anymore has greatly reduced any conflicts between us. When we get together we actually chat about stuff that has happened.
I housesat a few weeks ago and when mum and dad returned they gave me a bottle of Berry Farm boysenberry port. And mum also told me she'd take me shopping in a few weeks time to buy me some nice clothes (unfortunately I have expanded a little - this NEEDS to be fixed) and I also needed something suitable for a job interview.
I now have 3 new pairs of pants. One blue jean like pair, one maroon sueded pair and a pair of funky pinstripe pants. I also have two tops - a plain reddish one and a lovely white knit top which is so soft and cuddly.
And leather jackets at Target were marked down. They were originally $150. Then they marked them down to $99 and I was seriously considering buying one. Today they were marked down to $75! I could not let that pass. I intended to layby it but apparently some special items are "too hot to layby" and the jacket was one of those item. But I MUST have the jacket!! Here I was seriously considering gouging into my pay and buying it. But mum saved the day. I have it on "mum layby" which is great because I get the goods before I pay for them!! So I'm now the proud owner of a soft pig leather coat that goes halfway down my legs, purrrdy.
She also framed my longstitch! And made roast. We didn't have time to get socks from Good Sammys or get the next hunt photo done, hopefully I can manage that tomorrow morning. On Saturday I need to shop for new ugg boots and socks and gloves, winter is a-settling in.
Oh yeah, I also bought a small fan heater. Room is warm now. :)
