I now have two LARGE pots of soup bubbling away on the stove.

This is gonna last a while - I hope we have enough containers to store it all in!

This cooking buisness is dangerous though. I sliced into my index finger of my left hand last week chopping dates for sticky date pudding. It's just healed so what do I do? Take a nice slice of skin off the middle finger of the same hand while cutting carrots. *rolls eyes*

I'm just glad the body heals.

When you cut stuff, you should hold it with your fingers curled in, so that your fingers are parallel to the cutting direction of the knife - this way if you get too close to your fingers, you are unlikely to really cut yourself.

It may seem uncomfy at first, but try it and see - you won't cut yourself.

I just use my long nails as a buffer - if I whack off the tip of my nail, I know I should watch it *LOL*
