Acrylic bicones and two-tone mystery beads on stretch beading elastic. It may look sweet and innocent but it sure isn't.

After about 5 tries when all the beads fell off when I tried to knot it and my hands getting slippery and sweaty I finally had a stroke of genius.

I put a paperclip on one end so it damn well couldn't fall off one end. Once I'd finished I precariously knotted it again and stuck the paperclip in the middle of the knot so I could easily slide it tight against the beads.

Then the ol' paperclip came in handy once again. I used it to shove the knot into the hole in one of the mystery beads - therefore hiding the knot and making it a lot less likely to come undone.

Yay paperclip!!

*gasp* That bracelet is so PRETTY! I love those two toned beads. I don't see them much anymore. I used to have a lot of little trinket jewelry that had those in it. ^.^

I think I need to buy more of them.

They were pretty cheap at Spotlight, which is a huge craft/haberdashery store in Australia.

Oh man I feel your pain I hate putting bracelets together and trying to knot them and having it fall apart .. You seem more calmer then I would have been, if it would have been me those beads would have been thrown around my room. LOL

Paper Clip thing was a good Idea, I'll have to try that next time :)

I found for REALLY delicate tings like special necklaces, that a cushion and some safety pins work wonders

If I'd thrown them across the room then I would have had a bunch of beads around my room, half which I doubt I'd be able to find again. And that wouldn't do me much good.

You know, I think that if paperclips were only used to clip paper, they wouldn't be used anymore, but there are so many more uses for them. They come in handy for knitting things, too. ^_^

I love the miracle beads. (that's what they call them here anyways) I have a bunch of teal and blue ones for a necklace I made and then destroyed to make again. When I first made it I was all the way to the end and trying to get the crimp bead on when it slipped out of my hands and there were beads EVERYWHERE! I don't care so much about the sead beads, but the swarovski crystals and miracle beads aren't cheap!

moral of the story -- wait til your hands stop sweating before tackling delicate tying jobs :P

the beadwork looks better and better with each photo though the names are getting worse and worse :P
