I LOVE Asian food/bulk food stores!!
Apr. 17th, 2004 04:10 pmKakulas Brothers in Northbridge sells honey cashews!! For $15.50 a kilo!!! *is in heaven*
The whole damn shop rocks, I think I'll be doing a lot more shopping there from now on. They have such nifty stuff there. Who needs little Masterfoods herbs and spices when you have huge hessian sacks of the stuff assaulting your nose (in a good way) in Kakulas?
In other news. I finally cleared the air with Matt and yes, it would seem we are both now officially single. Technically the breakup was around August last year but were in a weird semi-together state anyway and meant to figure out how things were going when semester ended, which didn't happen.
I don't think we'll ever be too far estranged from each other. But as a long term couple thing (the kind of stuff that possibly leads to scary things like marriage and children) neither of us would have been happy, we're just too different. At least now we have the opportunity to find that person for ourselves, but we're still extremely close anyway. Not like we're the only ones around who kiss (and possibly more) someone who we're not technically with.
Took me a year to concile myself with the whole thing but it was me who asked to get the air clear today. I'm no longer distressed or afraid by it, I have no reason to be.
Now to find that guy who loves nature and birdwatching and camping and nature geeky stuff like that and can dance and has a vgaue sense of personal hygiene. :p

Date: 2004-04-17 01:37 am (UTC)I so agree with you there. It's good to work so close to home, but the downside is I don't go to town much at all anymore. But I did go on thursday arvo and I did some shopping at Kakulas. There nuts and seeds are so cheap compared with supermarkets.

Date: 2004-04-17 02:10 am (UTC)teehee.. well it seems weird to say that when you're talking bout a breakup, but if it's the best thing and you still get to "keep" each other in a friendship type way, hooray!
my sentences are rather incoherent since I seem to get a call every three words or so and forget what I just said... (Am at work. Surprise.)

Hmmmm.....I could probably lend you Chris....he'd fit that category, 'cept I dunno about the birdwatching. But 5 out of 6 is pretty good, eh?
