The stuff in brackets is the crow berating the others. He does say some other stuff but I couldn't make it out. Stanley is obviously a snake. I think Norm may be a koala or a wombat.

The verses don't do much for me, but the chorus just... makes my heart soar. I can't think of any other way to describe it. I feel like I've found some old lost treasure I thought I'd never see again.

I remember that show now!! At least I think I do. The animals were all puppets, and the crow always sat in the crook of a tree. I think Norm was a wombat.

I can't remember much more than that sorry, but I do remember it. I will ask my sister. She may remember more. *giggles*

the show you are refearing to with that song is a Childrens tv show from the late 70's & early 80's hosted by the late Shirly Straughn (lead singer of the skyhooks and also handy man on our house) it was called "Shirl's Neighbourhood"
