Garvey Park was awesome! Tis great to be among people who know what they're doing and understand the interest and excitement of birding.

Saw a few newies! Buff Banded Rail and heard a Striated Pardalote, Weebill and Yellow-Rumped Thornbill. Read all about it here.

I've also made a spreadsheet to keep track of what I see. I have a sheet for each area and the dates I've been there across the top and the list of birds I've seen there down the side. It's really nifty and I can see what birds are always popping up somewhere and which ones come and go.

Can't wait for the walk around Herdsman on Saturday and there are loads more Birds Australia walks to go to. :)

sounds like the bird walk thing was cool :) the only type of "walk" i get to go on is at the end of the semester- we go to see rock formations for my geology class...fun huh? :P

I'm studying Conservation Biology but I've just loved animals all my life.

Birdwatching is my latest obsession, it's cheap and accessible.
