Bah, I'll rant.

Why does everyone get their backs up when anyone points out a flaw in a movie? Yes, I know it's "just a movie" and "just entertainment" and yes, I did enjoy it but gee, filmmakers could do a little more research sometimes.

Then of course is the old "But animals can't talk either." argument. Duh, animals can't talk. If someone actually believed animals could speak fluent English because of a movie then there's something wrong with them. But yeah, some people WILL believe that "all drains lead to water" and forget about the water treatment barrier in between (which was weird, the pipes stated Sydney water treatment or whatever yet Nemo didn't have to go through filter after filter to make the water resonably clean before being ejected into the ocean. And they might just think that pelicans and seagulls over here are the same ones as over there. That's the kind of thing I give a shit about, what right do you have to negate that? I'm sure there's many things you're passionate about that I couldn't give a rat's ass about, but I won't deride you for it, sheesh.

Or another argument for Finding Nemo nitpicks - "It was aimed at Americans." So that gives them an excuse to use a thermometer that uses farenheit scale and American birds even though the movie is set in Australia. They could have set it in the Americas somewhere. They could have actually TAUGHT PEOPLE about Australia instead of just fucking it all up as they always do.

Take a bit of your own advice guys - "It's just a movie!"

Very true dear.....

You know Americans though, If they had put a propper Ausie thermometer in they wouldn't have been able to read it and would have said gee that isn't too hot or gee that is too hot cause I can't remember the way it goes and I haven't seen the movie yet!

They really do the dead mother thing again????

wish I could speak whale

Very very true. I am exactly the same way when i watch certain movies. When it is highly unlikely or not accurate at all it bugs me. Like historical costuming in some movies. It drives me batty because I studied it and I know the difference. It's one of my movie pet peeves. Everything is just a movie and it is there for entertainment. They don't even bother making things accurate if it's not pleasing or they think people won't get it. They'd lose money that way. And Disney does it all the time and very blatently! If you take the original Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson for instance. She dies in the end in that one! Now how much do you think they would have made on that? There would be no little mermaid tv show and dolls. No Little Mermaid 2.

Hope my comment didn't piss you off. I critique things because finding the negative and flaws is what I get paid to do. And looking for those issues becomes a habit, so I speek with out thinking. That and Nemo ate my spring, so I feel I can pick on him freely.:)

I thought it was a hilarious movie. That more than makes up for any faults it has. Matrix has faults. Big, glaring, evil faults. Its still a kickass movie. :)
